Mary Harrison has been in education for 15 years. She holds a Bachelors in Secondary Education English from Arizona State University, a Masters of Education in Adult and Higher Education with a Concentration in Intercollegiate Athletics Administration from the University of Oklahoma, and a Masters of Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. She holds Single Subject English, Multiple Subjects, Cross Cultural Language and Academic Development, and Teacher Librarian Credentials in California.

In addition to her time as an educator in California, she student-taught in Arizona and taught in Oklahoma. She has held daily and long-term substitute teacher and substitute proctor positions as well as Kinder Proctor, Library Media Assistant, 9th-12th Grade Credit Recovery/Dropout Prevention English Teacher, 2nd grade teacher, 3rd grade teacher, Homeschool Teacher monitoring TK-12th grade students, and now in administration as Assistant Director of Academic Progress. She has multiple years of experience in a classroom, virtually, and in a hybrid style setting.

She has piloted multiple programs, coached running clubs, and teaches a STEAM class with Student Life. By teaching at both the elementary and secondary levels, she discovered how vital a strong literacy background is for students to be successful long term, leading to her platform, "Literacy for Life: promoting reading and writing at all ages."

Mary was awarded, "Best in Education," at the 2023 Global Beauty Awards and Runner-Up for the 2019 Odysseyware Educator Impact Awards. She has been competing in pageants since 2001 and held multiple Local, State, National, and International titles. When not working, Mary likes to read and attends dance classes five days a week.
